Belle is overworked

I am still damn pissed!!! Is the word "editor" printed on my forehead? If not, then why is everybody pushing comiling and editing jobs to me? They can afford to enjoy over the weekends while i slog? Is this fair to me, especially when i am alrdy feeling unwell?

Frankly, i dun mind to do it PROVIDED each of the member put in 100% effort while writing their parts. I even did FYP editing without having to grumble this much before. If you guys have the chance to look at wad some of them had sent me, you will true understand. Sloppy and shallow work, which i definitely can't tolerate.

Luckily i have a few who offered help.

Belle is sick

My tummy is not feeling well for 3 days already. Finally decided to visit a doctor... Belle is down with stomach flu. :(

Went down to travel fair to get our travel insurance (at 35% discount) and to make the balance payment for our NZ trip. Luckily we made payment at the NATAS fair. Teddy got a luugage free just bcos he used his card to make payment. He also won a Samsonite passport holder and some vouchers in the Mastercard draw. Both of us got 2 free coffee bean vouchers as we registered ourselves for Citibank biometric payment.

After which... headed down NLB (as usual) to do some work.

We shopped at Market Place on our way home. It's always fun to shop there cos they carry products that are not seen in common supermarkets.

Look at wad we bought.... some ingredients to prepare soup tonite....

This magee mee is so cute. There are 4 mini packs in it. Each portion is enough to just fill a cup (not a bowl wor!!!) There are cute fishcakes taking the shapes of puppy and panda. =)

and hot chocolate power...

Wondering how the soup will taste later. hope Teddy will do a good job. =P

Bottle Tree (2)

Teddy and i were at bottle tree again... the main purpose this time round was to prawn. Here is wad we ordered for dinner this time round...

It cost Teddy a bomb!!! 50 plus buck this claypot. It is call hai3 zhen1 bao3. There is one whole crab, mini lobster and many many dao3 tao2 in there. The base is abit milky... and Teddy love it. It goes well with bee hoon.

Ok... the main activity... PRAWNING!!! We caught a prawn. ya, just one in 1 n 1/2hour. Hee... first timer mah. We will definitely do better next time. The catch is real good in bottle tree. Others have quite a good shuo1 huo4.

Prawning in process...

The boss is kind enough to give us some prawns to bring home.

Yeah! Objective met. One prawn caught!!!

My Mini Feast

Finally, there were a few hours for me to breathe. The mini feast that was postposed was held yesterday... We had a wen1 xin1 dinner at the new Bottle Tree restaurant located in Katib. I was not feeling too good so we ordered smting simple. Here are some pictures taken...

After the dinner, we observed the people who were prawning. I was looking elsewhere when i heard "eee". Only then did i realised the lady nearest to me caught a HUGE prawn. If you guys tried prawning before, you would know that prawns actually have 2 additional long legs (something like crab but long and thin) unlike those seen in market. The one that was caught yesterday had legs maybe slightly longer than a 30cm ruler when it's body was onli like 15 cm. Interesting, isn't it?

Tomorrow is my turn to catch one too. I hope i can cos i caught none the previous time at east coast. hee... I hope i can take 2 hours off to go prawning. I have 3 reports to be submitted by next week... arghhh...

Hopefully the Last Entry on FYP

Yesterday was my FYP submission date... my team worked hard to this very dae. I thot it will end beautifully and i can enjoy a feast with Teddy at night. However, i think fate is playing on us. When we were doing our final touched up, citations went out of place and i couldn't fix it.... printer went down and photocopying aunties were super desperate to go home (Can't stand the aunties #$%^&, so rude and scarcastic... will not go there anymore. hey ppl, it's the one near FAL...). Then when we finally got the 2 copies of report bounded, we realized that the alphanumeric pagings on "Abstract" and "Acknowlegement" were not reflecting. We checked the soft copies and they were there. Damn! Left with no choice, we submitted the copies with handwritten numberings on the two pages. We wanted to inform our prof... but when aaron knocked on his door, there was no respose. Lights were on and aaron could hear the TV on. So? where was prof??? Aaron then slided the reports under the door. We then informed prof about the imperfections through email.

I was very affected by everything that happened yesterday... with all the above mentioned and a bad presentation in the early afternoon. I admit that i am a perfectionist when it comes to work, i can't tolerate these imperfections when they could be avoided.

As i was not in the right mood to feast, i requested Teddy to postpone the dinner. Being understanding, he readily agreed. He da1 bao1 food and we headed back home. After dinner, he passed me a bag. Teddy bought me a scarf and ear muffs so that i can wear them during our New Zealand trip!!! So sweet of him.... and to my surprise, he bought them from Sydney during his business trip. The gift accompanied by his funny elaboration made me laugh. =) Words are simply not enough to express how thankful i feel.

and he made my Noddy wear them...

Finally, the imperfections were corrected this afternoon... now Belle is happier. Presenting our Final Year Project.... At last!

Gan3 Xie4 Chi2

eh hem... i wanna thank clam for her help in getting the music tagged to my blog. =) haha...

Busy Saturday

I had a make-up turorial yest morning... ya... 8.30am on a Saturday. *Peng* Poor Teddy woke up early too and waited for me in school.

Before i began mugging on my report again, we went to the strudel house. Strudel is definitely one of my preferred desserts (and Teddy's too)... =)

See how happy he was...

and i received helium ballons =) It has been a long time since i last hold onto ballons. Well, when one is feeling down, small little things can cheer her up.

This was the view i took from the 11th storey of NLB. Notice the ferris wheel? It is standing so tall and grand. I am looking forward to take the ride.

I was walking around without lenses for the later part of the day... only then did i realise how beautiful the street lights are. Try it =)

My Softies

My bed is getting crowded... Wad do u think? hee.

Hope i can meet more pound puppies, small, medium and large as i travel... hoho *greedy* hope to meet the one i was carrying in my arms in childhood daz.

Hoping to cheer me up, dear dear suggested EARTHQUAKE in Swensen's!!! and for that moment, i beamed =) When both of us were recalling when was the last time we had Earthquake... we had the same answer, on our very first Valentine's when we just graduated from Secondary *feeling sweet and amazing*...

FYP...FYP... and FYP.

This week was busy. Life surrounds FYP, Mon till Fri from 10 am - 9.30 pm. On top of that, i had a presentation on Monday, ES102 discussion on Tuesday, ES103 discussion on Wednesday and ES102 class on Wednesday... TIRED!!!

Our FYP tutor is ki ki ba bu bu #%&!*... We followed his instruction and now when it is so near deadline, he told us to change this and that, denying the instructions he gave. Haiz... guo4 fen4!

I fell sick... just recovered from flu but is now coughing... wad a bad timing. Aaron is currently having fever. Hopefully it will not be Shu E's turn next. Guess it's all attributed to stress and over use of our brains. haha. Throughout the 3 years, I have never seen Shu E and Aaron looking so tired and dejected. Well, it's juz a week more to go. We can do it!!!

I am trying to cope with the fear of not meeting deadline and the stress in putting together a report that make sense. Fortunately, Teddy is here to walk me through this tough period. Whenever i stayed in school till late, he will pick me up from school... he will buy me nice food and he will tolerate with my quick-temper. I truely appreciate his effort =).

He just zhong4 rong2 wo3 just now. He knew that i was craving curry fish head and granted my wish... haha, i know i shouldn't be eating that... hmmm... maybe yi3 du2 gong1 du2 helps leh?

It is our 3 years and XX months. Teddy surprised me with lovely candles and gift. Thank you for your effort *muackz*

I saw a proud look today. The lady was showing everyone in the group an invitation letter from MOE for the interview of a teaching position. I would have felt happy for the qualified.

Can you feel how badly i was hitted?

Nice Food

Teddy and I had lunch at Ding Tai Fung located in Raffles City (since we were on the way to the career fair). As usual, food there is Gooooddd! Its xiao3 long2 bao1 is a must try. Service is appraisable too =)

Oh, by the way, i saw ppl forming long queue for donughts at B1 of raffles city. Anybody tried the donughts there? Are they really that good?

The career fair this year is a big disappointment. Half of the booths is taken up by education institutions while a quarter compose of areospace/engineering booths. -A waste of my time-

Next we headed to the library... Teddy has tonnes of work to do while i have my FYP to work on. Omg, there were so so so many ppl in NLB on a weekend *peng* My report is definitely a headache. Deadline is so near and i still have much to do. *haiz*

We tried something new for dinner... porridge steamboat. It looked good when it was featured on a variety program so we decided to give it a try.

Spot the cute fish cake pigs...

Hmm.. the steamboat was good but i still prefer soup-based kind. It was kinda troublesome cos we were required to stir the porridge very often to prevent it from getting burnt (Can't enjoy and eat in peace).

The day ended with dessets in Tang2 Shui3 Cafe. We went there because Teddy wanna catch the Man U- Liverpool match. His supported team lost... hahaha. Which mean, Arsenal is a step closer to its 3rd position in the league. yeah.

My Baking Class

Our team is composed of 4 "pretty housewives" Mrs Zhong, Mrs Yang, Mrs Chen and Mrs Ling. We put on our aprons with our cutie soft toys sticking out of the pockets.

An accident took place just before we started our baking lesson. One of the team mates accidentally bumped onto the table. The mess tins (seated on the burner burner) which were holding boiling water and melted chocolate fell and spilled. I was standing nearest and was "shocked". Recalling, it was somehow touching as the first reaction from my friends were to find out if i was fine instead of asking about the chocolate. haha... We replaced the chocolate and started our lesson. Haiz... i already forgotten much of wad i wanted to deliver after the shock. However, i enjoyed the process on the whole. =)

Here is our cuties and our finished product. =)

Another pic of the "pretty housewives" taken with our Korean tutor.
