Tired

I have been busy with job search... sending in applications, reading up on the companies and job descriptions, attending tests and interviews and receiving calls after calls from agencies. I shld be happy... but i am feeling terribly low. I am lacking the confidence, seriously. I dun tink i can outdo the other applicants esp in the assessments i am required to go through... feeling very uncertain and stoopid. I am flying off tml evening but i have interviews in the first half of the day. I hope my efforts are all worth it...

Feeling unwell lately... guess i am either too beat or down with fever.

My NZ trip is from 27th April to 5th May. Will update once i am back. =)

An Enjoyable Dae with Gen

I have not been taking 171 and 184 since i have graduated from Ngee Ann Poly 4 years ago. It is so nice to have a chance to refresh the memory today. It was around 2.40pm when i met Gen at KAP. We bought the ingredients and headed to her place. We made Swedish Meatballs!!! It was fun... we had a great time cooking together and tasting while cooking. I was the quality control (making sure the meatballs were in the same size) and Gen was the main cook. Half way thru there was a change of plan. We decided to make meat patties instead cos they were much easier to shape. haha.

This is our end product... Although they look a little burnt, they tasted good!

Next, we set off for our FYP feast (finally, after the postpone due to exams). Although we took more time to reach our destination (cos we were a little lost), i enjoyed the process of finding the correct way with Gen. Gen proved that gals can read maps too =) aye... i contributed a little ya?

Here we were, at Mushroom Pot!!! We dine for near 2 hours till the restaurant closed for the day.

The food is good.

Happy Gen finally get to eat many many mushrooms that she had been craving.

After dinner, we had a nice chat on the bridge linking to cosy bay. Not knowingly, we stood there for 1 and a half hour. =) It was near midnite when we left and Gen was kind to give me a lift home. Thank You! Hope to see u soon.

The First Weekend After Exams

Shopping Spree!!! <-- It summarized my weekend. Shop till drop from Friday to Sunday... haha... With every $150 spent in Marina square, one will be entiltled to $20 bossini voucher and 1 box of chocz. We brought home $60 worth of voucher and 3 boxes of chocz... so you can guess how broke we are now. oopss... Well, some of the stuff are necessary for the coming NZ trip (i.e. swiss knife, teddy's scarf and long sleeves)... (Trying to find excuses for overspending :X) Dinner at Kenny Rogers on Fri nite...

Shuang1 Qi2 Lin2... Yummi. Milk Tea and Strawberry flavours.

Dinner and Desserts on Sat nite...

Here are some of the things we bought...

Teddy's...

Mine...

My new track shoes... I need it so much cos my previous pair gave me blueblack under my nails after the 10km run. I tested it out yesterday nite. Went for a 4km run. This pair is definitely thumbs up!!! worth the buy.

Oh... I have bought the tickets to "The Phantom of the Opera". Yeah!!! I have always wanted to catch this musical. Luckily it is extended and luckily Gen informed me of the extension. =) I am looking forward to it (16th May).

A New Chapter of Belle's Life is About to Begin...

I have fought the battle. It is now up to the marker to judge my performance... Many thoughts are running thru my mind now as i recall how i spent the 3 years as an undergraduate. It is a torturous experience and i can't believe i endured through it... Time flies... Juz like wad Eileen told me the other day, "I still remember you telling me you wanna quit, but now you are coming to the end of it" (Some thing along the line).

After writing and scribbling in the exam hall yesterday (the paper is impossible to be completed in 2 and a half hours lor... the setter must be crazy), Gen and I lunched in Secret Receipe located in Plaza Sing. It have been a long time since I sat down with her, have a good meal and chat... and i love the feeling of having the opportunity to do that with her =) . She is definitely one i love talking and listening to.

People commented that we look alike... wad do u think?

Teddy gave me a surprise dinner celebration yesterday. He brought me to "Bungalow" in United Square. Ambience is excellent. It is away from town so its not crowded and noisy. The restaurant plays smoothing Jazz and service is good. The place is so comfortable that we sat there for around 2 hours without realising.

The outdoor seats... (Teddy mentioned indoor is nice too)

Cheers!!! ...

The apetitizer... Seafood platter. I regard it as above average, The seafood is real fresh. There are prawns, scallops, fish and Calamari in this big plate.

Teddy with his seafood and pumkin baked rice.

Me with my grilled lamb cutlet. Hmm... it was a little disappointing cos the lamb was some what over grilled.
and... the special Fondue. There are 12 mini scoops of moven pick ice-cream (my favorite) =) The texture and taste of the chocolate is excellent!!!

Alrite, so much about "Bungalow"... Hmm... exams over, it's time to start my job hunt. diaozzz...

Arrghh...

I know i shld be mugging rite now, but my mind is occupied with things i have been wanting to do but were put on hold.... blading, shopping, baking, outings, bbq, tidying up the mess in my room and even just a STROLL!

I am super beind time... was feeling extremely low these few days. Thanx to a friend who has offered a treat to choco buffet and a vacation sponsor to Europe... Although i wun be agreeing (too much for a gift), it's the thot that make me felt pampered, esp at this critical point in time.

I believe the quote "Expectation leads to disappointment".

Teddy have been feeding me with his self-cook-food. It was Good Friday and he woke up early to buy me breakfast at Chong Pang as well as to do some market shopping for lunch ingredients (He can bargain like an auntie wor... *I guess he will kill me*)... Well, you might have guessed, i was still in bed... hee

I wish i could relate more but... have to go back to my book soon... so here are the pictures. Conclusion: The sweetest meals i had.

Big Contrast- Busy Friday and Relax Saturday

Friday was terrible. I was sitting in front of the lappie for 10 plus hours trying to complete my 311 report due at 12 midnite. I dun even have the time to sit down for a proper dinner. I completed my report at 11.15pm, bathed, get changed, scanned through the report again, sent it to my prof and head down to Marina Square to catch my 12 MIDNITE show. Omg, can u pictured how chaotic it was. We reached Marina Square at 12.15am... did not missed the show much and we still have time to buy ourselves popcorn, phewww!!! Ya... we watched Mr Bean, a fuuny show indeed that is worth catching.

Ok... after 2 presentations and FYP the week before and 2 reports this week, i decided to put all my work aside for the Saturday. I think i deserved it rite? I had a good porridge buffet lunch at congress,

this is how much we ate... quite alot...

did some window shopping... browsing around through tings to get for our April trip, watched TMNT at Plaza Sing =) and had a nice dinner in Billy Bombers.

The greddy man tying to get enough of milk shake... ;p

My huge burger...

TMNT really brings back alot of childhood memories. It reminded me of how my cousins and i grew up together. Each of us picked our favorite turtle (although there is now some confusion on who picked wad). I remember i picked Michelangelo, the orange turtle with shuang1 jie2 gun4 as weapon. I dunno why i picked that though. But after the show yest, i can say i still love Michelangelo. His character resembles my Teddy's... so blur and comical but mighty at times.
