School, School and School

I have been in school from 9am to 9pm these few daz... GE classes in the first half of the day and FYP in the later half. My GE, "Instruction Designing" is pretty interesting. It taught us the right way to structure and deliver a lesson. This Friday, my group will be teaching the class to make non-baked cookies. Hope everything turn out to be fine =). Other groups are presenting topics like how to perform CPR, how to be an ultimate socceer fan, how to make DIY mask, hair care and etc. Cool, isn't it?

Long hours of work = Tiredness + More easily agitated. Last night was trying to get my group of 6 to start working on a presentation plus report due in 2 weeks. Responses were disappointing except 2. haha.. Was very irritated cos my FYP is due in 2 weeks time too. Can't afford last minute work. While I was "venting" my anger on my poor Teddy (I was puching him continuously... not using much strength lah), the smart him filmed it down using his handphone... I wasn't aware at all as i was back facing him. He gave me the comical face and said he had evidence to prove my violence (in a very proud and happy tone). This was enough to make me laugh, and till now when i recalled of the same incident, i smiled.

Alrite, back to FYP. tata.

The Beauty of Simplicity

Weekend started on Friday night with subway dinner at Raffles City. Very qiao3, after a day of FYP in school, still saw Aaron and his gf at subway. haha...

Teddy decided to prepare Ba Kut Teh supper for me(his first attempt, so I am his guinea pig) because he knows i always get hungry easily. So, we shopped at the supermart in Raffles City. Love shopping there... everything was so neatly arranged unlike _ _ _ _ and it offers a wide variety (though price might me higher).

After which, we shopped around the basement to check out the new shops. I was at Aldo and a bag caught my eyes. Though it doesn't really match my current 'style' (cos it looks sort of mature), I thought it might be time I buy something that match my age more. haha, well i admit i have passed the sweet and cute stage... moreover, it can come to good use when i started working. However, i hestitated cos it is quite costly... then... Teddy bought it. aye, happi but feeling heartache for him.

Teddy started preparing supper at ard 12 midnite. I din help at all... hee :x... The ai4 xin1 Ba Kut Teh turned out to be TASTY! There are button mushrooms in it, my favorite ;).

One thing i muz confess... i did not help to do the dishes after the dinner. Oppss.. lazy and tired me *blushed*.

My family went bai4 bai4 this morning. I was happy and feeling thankful for Teddy's effort. Last nite, I was asking Teddy if he is willing to learn to cook lu3 dan4, ngoh2 hiong1 (wu3 xiang1) and soup from my grandma bcos i love to eat them. This morning, he raised the topic to my grandma and expressed interest to learn =). Bcos of his initiative to start a conversation with my grandma, i got a chance to chat with her more than i usually does. Glad to have a more expressive Teddy.

My parents, grandma, Teddy and me had lunch at Shuang1 Xi3 Luo2 at Paya Lebar. Wanted to have dim sum there but they only serve proper lunch during New Year festive. All of us agreed that food tasted good. Phew!!! (cos i suggested the place)... but 4 dishes cost us 100 over bucks. I felt it is worth it, not only for the quality of food but also the warmth felt during the meal.

Dunno when I caught flu... sneezed the whole day. This is already the fourth time i fell sick this year *peng*. Still, Teddy and I went Marina Square to catch "Norbit".

Before the show starts...

Popcorns, popcorns... Yummi

It's a nice and funny show that is worth the watch.

We decided to settle down for some hot drinks after the show. I was sitting outdoor waiting for Teddy to be back with coffee... he came back with a Project Shop bag I was eyeing on a while ago. My 2nd bag for the week *guilty*. Teddy felt it is time for me to change my "worn out" bag. Thank You. *touched*

I looked sick... >_< -->

Though we did nothing special this weekend, I enjoyed myself. =)

As I am now sitting in front of the com, i am sipping away my ai4 xin1 gan3 mao4 cha =). I guess i will recover soon.

My New Pet Dog

It has always been my wish to have a pet dog and name it as either kiki or lala... but i dun think this will ever come true :( *sob*. Therefore, I steal the idea from clam's blog. Do feel free to feed and play with my kiki. bleh =P

Yu2 Shen1

It was Teddy's off yesterday so he travelled with me to campus and picked me after my lessons. We went Whampoo market for dinner... we had my favorite fish head steamboat. *slurp slurp*. It's the best one i've ever tried so far and i've been patronising it for years.

At nite, the usual "strange" noise was calling outside my window... "hee hee hoo hoo, hee hee hoohoo" *imitation of a monkey* (There are variations on different nites.. haha). My Teddy was here to surprise me with Yu2 Shen1. It was so sweet of him to tell me "We must make an effort to lao1 yu2 shen1 every year"... Why sweet? Cos he remember little details like we did it last year and bcos of his effort to get one for us. Thank You ;)

Lunar New Year (continued)

Da Nian Chu Er

My family would gather at biao2 jie3's place for dinner on every chu1 er4. This year ye3 bu4 li4 wai4... however, there was no steamboat this time round *sob*... it's alrite, my tang2 jie3 and i had feedback to the "official in charge"-my gu1 gu1 (auntie) so hopefully we can revert back to our steamboat dinner next year... hee... i guess my biao2 jie3 must be swearing now cos she holds no fancy for steamboat. bleh

The cousins (Teddy later joined) then decided to catch "Just Follow Law" at Jubilee (just within walking distance). To our surprise, all tickets for 9.30pm were sold out... omg, at such a ulu place. We ended up getting the tickets for 11.50pm.
Since we had 2 hours before the show starts, we drove to J8 and settled for some desserts at Cafe Cartel.
Managed to snap some photos there.

The waffles that Teddy said tasted like mi3 chian1 kuay4... aye, i dun think so lah.

Ice cream i've ordered. Yummi~

Here comes the funny shots... gor gor gonna kill me for posting.. oopss :x

First shot taken sneakily... gor gor commented not nice.

So i take again... observe my biao2 jie3's look (not realising that she is in the pic too). Maybe in her mind was, "Wa, wad an effort taken to smile for the camera". I thought both of them look cartoonic in this pic =)

One last shot taken before we left for movie. Taken with my tang2 jie3 who (like myself) loves photo taking.

Da Nian Chu San

I woke up pretty early today *yawn*. Early compared to the past 2 days (11.30 am and 3 pm). wahhaaa.. *oink oink*

By 10.30am, my place was already flooded with my maternal family. I think there were about 20 people in the living room... re4 nao4 leh.

I left for Teddy's place to bai4 nian2. Feeling pretty good to be dressed in my favorite pair of jeans... simply love the crytals on both pockets *sparkling sparkling* (can't see them clearly in the pic though).

Yeah, finally we headed to Sentosa Flowers 2007. The theme this year is "Rhymes in Bloom". Teddy and I were the excited 2, looking forward to the monorail ride.

We were trying to figure out where the chips are hidden in the cards. Well, apparently there isn't any but how does the machine read the access card when tapped???

Pictures taken at the train station and in the train...

Pictures taken at the garden... Do visit it if you guys have the time, quite a nice walk.

I did not push Humpty,
trust me -->

Oh, I met the King! -->

Dinner was at Marina South with my jie3 mei4s... our tuan2 yuan2 fan4. =) *wamth*

Lunar New Year =)

If I would use one word to describe my Lunar New Year, that would be "GREAT"!!!

Reunion Dinner

I declared that New Year started on san1 shi2 wan3... Reunion dinner was at a vegetarian restaurant... I was excited and looking forward especially after submitting my wordy report that afternoon. The food was good and i was chatting and chatting away… hee. Simply love being around my paternal family.

First dish was Yu2 Sheng1... Lao1 ah Lao1 ah...

Dining in process... Spot my lovely grandma on the right. She is the one who brought me up. My grandma is a mordern ma2 ma4 who can cook nice dishes. =)

and here are my dearest biao2 jie3 and tang2 jie3...

After the meal... a picture of all who were present at the dinner. Proudly present, MY FAMILY! =)

In the same nite, I received chocolate love letters from Teddy... Yeah! Those who have been reading my blog will know that this is the last snack to satisfy me.

Da Nian Chu Yi

The first person I saw when I woke up on Da4 Nian2 Chu1 Yi1 was my Teddy. The feeling was... sweet. This was the first time he came over to bai4 nain2 on the first day of lunar new year cos he usually does it on the third day. I can still remember the sweet morning peck on my cheek and I remember that we held a long conversation (though I was still lyin in bed, covered with blanket). Teddy gave me an ang bao wor but I am not going to spend it.

*Shy*... let me show you my lovely bag, though abit too cute for me lah... but i just love it.

Me in my new dress (abit zi4 lian4) ... hee.

My paternal family will always gather at Ma2 Ma4's place on Chu1 Yi1. We have a new member with us this year, my pretty niece.

Wanted to carry her but she was too overwhelmed with attention. =)

The family had lunch... I must let the whole world know that the lu3 dan4 that my grandma always prepare is super duper nice. It is the best I have ever eaten and I believe nobody else can be on par to her standard, not to say exceed. bleh.

After which, the cousins went Chun1 Dao4 He2 Pan4. This is our yearly practice cos we would each take a photo with our respective Shen1 Xiao4 figure as well as a group photo at the stairs, with the youngest standng in front and oldest last in the row. I believe we will continue this practice in the years to come... rite?

Next highlight will be our KTV session. It was the first time I breathed fresh air in the KTV room... felt so comfortable. I know smokers who are reading me will kill me but I am thankful to the new rule that banned smoking in KTV. wahaha.

Here are some photos we took...

The sweetest yet mighty three...

The 2 new members added to our family strength since last year... =)

and the group photo..

Teddy joined us later.

All the others left before 2am while Teddy and i stayed till three... Sing... Sing ... and sing through the nite... lalala.

Alrite, too long a post, i will continue the update later.

Phew!!!

It was late morning when I experienced a very scary incident... As mentioned in my previous entry, I was working on a report... Half way through, the msn was not working properly and I decided to restart my lappie (At that moment, my lappie was already switched on for approximately 40 hrs???).

That was when my lappie "crashed". None of the files could be open and none of the program could be launch. I tried offing and starting it again... I repeated it once, twice, thrice... *starting to panic* was thinking about the need to redo the report I have been working on for the past week... was thinking if tutor would buy my story.

Fortunately, after the eigth try or so, I finally retrieved the file and everything is back to normal again... phew!!!

Moral of the story: never overwork lappie!

Teddy and I decided to have a little picnic dinner at lower seletar since I can't leave my "workstation" for long. Teddy was resposible to get the food and he turned up at my house with my surprise supper... my favorite durian studel!!!

and my surprise breakfast... my favorite four leaves sandwich!!! yipee...

Alrite, I am off to breakfast. After which gotta continue with my work... hopefully can finish before my dinner. Looking forward to tuan2 yuan2 fan4 and da4 nian2 chu1 yi1, my self-declared time off from work... yeah *excited*!

Valentine's Day

I was uncertain about the dinner and stepped out of the house with a heavy heart...

The moment i was in the crowd, i observed the people around me... some were drowned in bliss, some were looking anxious when travelling to meet their partners (with beautifully wrapped gifts in their hands), while others were alone on their way home. What about me?... I dunno... was putting myself in the shoes of those who wished for but were not expecting a celebration. Some how, I feel sad.

I met Teddy and things turned out fine. He gave me a leafy rose... haha and we headed to Jumbo seafood at clarke quay... Well, it is definitely not a romantic place to dine in (in fact, there was not even a single pair of couple there)... however, the most important is to enjoy each other accompanion and the food, isn't it?

Here are some pictures we took... (gosshh! I brought my camera without SD card in it *peng*- blur me, so have to use Teddy's hp)

We promised not to spend on gift for this valentine's but still he prepared little surprises for me...

Cheers to our 4th Valentine's...

Table covered with many many dishes (chilli crab, steamed fish, veg)...

plus another (scallop in yam)...

Teddy in the fish tank???

Another surprise awaiting me... after dinner... Sparkles!!!

and bubbles!!! (see, i can blow nice nice bubbles- back to childhood)

I wanna thank Teddy for the wonderful nite. muacks.

Valentine's prolonged to the 15th... =) Gen gave me a pressie, which she named Noddy... look at how cute she is (I said it's a she, I dun care...heh) ... Thank You, Gen. I will take good care of her, so sweet of you.

I think that concludes the Valentine's... *a happy and contented Belle*

Advance Valentine's

When I walked into the lecture threatre, Gen asked, "so you got a rose!" and the next thing I did is to hand the rose over to her and said, "It's for you, it's from (her bf)." I can still remember how surprised she looked and how happy she was. It was so sweet of her bf to arrange this little surprise for her. I guess he would love to do so personally but since he is abroad, he had me to present the rose on his behalf. =)

Have you guys ever think of the significance of Valentine's? I have mix feelings... and too many thoughts is running through my mind now, which i find it hard to pen down. Not feeling too good on Valentine's... haha.

I had a great dinner in Outback Steak with my poly mates. Our advance Valentine's celebation??? =) It was our first time there. Xiao Xiao was crazy over the Onion dish...

So, drooling over it already? ;) Here are what we have ordered too (din get to snap sheng ge's dish)...

I truely enjoyed the dinner... indulging myself in the love of friendship and laughter. It was a good break from "troubling" stuff for that few hours, escaping from tonnes of pending stuff to decide *Breathless* Hope we can more of the gatherings =)

Before ending off... I wanna wish all "Happi Valentine's Day".

My Favorites ;)

Chinese New Year is around the corner and my house is loaded with more and more snacks... Among all, I love the pork floss wrapped in spring roll skin the most<--- made by my grandmother =) *warmth* This snack used to be selling every where near CYN but now nowadaz only those with hei3 bi2 hiam1 flavor are sold... and I hate them... haha.

Teddy bought me my 2nd favorite yesterday... and that is the pineapple tarts. Yipee! ...but... still short of another before i am fully satisfied and that is the chocolate love letters. hoho... i can forget my diet plan. bleh!

My NZ Trip...

Check 1: Luggage bought... I love the vintage design on it. I admit it's still early but i will have no time to shop for one near the exam period.

Check 2: Tickets booked (in end April... it will be a 9 days trip)

Check 3: Tour arrangement made (from NZ specialist)

Frankly, I never thot this will ever come true because there are so many factors involved... financial, leave approval for Teddy, flight availability... blah blah blah. Finally, most of the tings are done. But... i am still quite pessimistic about it, many things can still happen between now till the day i set off >_<
