Special Weekend

  • I would rate my weekend 8.5/ 10 (Perfect if not for the hipcups- doesn't really matter now).

  • Night safari on Friday after work. I was tired and dozing off on the journey there... but got a little excited the moment i alighted. Wasn't my first time there but it was our first. =) Lots of entertainment from Teddy in the zoo. *roar... roar* haha.

  • Nice pasta on Saturday afternoon.
  • Botanic Garden... Lovely place. Will definitely be back for a picnic session.
  • Father's birthday celebration. One of the best seafood restaurant i have been to (much better than Jumbo)

  • Bay run on Sunday with Zhen Jie, my best jogging partner. She was with me for 2006 Standard Charterd run, Mizuno run and many evening jogs... more to come. Very qiao, saw aaron a few metres away from the start point. I was anxious to complete the 6km run because someone was waiting for me at the finishing line. It took me about an hour... He was indeed there, with mineral water and 100plus in his hands. He presented to me his 21.1 km medal. =) Three of us went to my favorite ba kut teh in ang mo kio... lots of childhood memories.

  • Durian puffs and swiss roll baking workshop with.... Teddy! He is so sweet to enroll for the class (before i know) as he knows i love to bake and he feels that it would be fun if we could attend the class together. I was a little disappointed to find out that it was not a hand-on lesson... but well, we enjoyed and learnt. We were the youngest in the group. hee.
  • My favorite fish head steamboat.

All would be impossible without Teddy. I hope every weekend could be as lovely.

Verdict from Justice Zhong

Although i have no liking for Liverpool, i have to say that they are the rightful winner for Sunday's match. The penalty should not be awarded to Chelsea, which resulted in a draw.

Still, Arsenal rocks. haha

My Accompanion

Favorite biskuits... cho-co-lat and stal-berry to accompany me through the long nights.

Random Events on Weekend

  • Saturday started with lovely pasta prepared by Teddy...

  • Fireworks

  • Prata for Supper
  • All in one meal (breakfast+ lunch + dinner) at Tian Tian steamboat. aye... we slept in and that explains why. Now Tian Tian is having a promo- charging $14 bucks from 1pm to 5pm, drinks included... so pretty good deal. oopss... y am i advertising for them?

  • (Following pic shows us on our way... rare sight where Arsenal and Liverpool fans got together harmoniously.. haha)

  • Catched "Licenced to wed".

  • It's great to have Teddy's accompany on Sunday... knowing that i usually feel esp lonely on Sunday, he volunteered to. That's sweet of him. Now he is in my living room with my dad, watching the BIG match (as he said) between Liverpool and Chelsea.

Grandma's Birthday Celebration

Many colleaks commented (positively) on my dressing on Friday. This is because they seldom see me in other colours beside white- I am well-known for my white outfits within Treasury department. haha =) Well, it was ma2 ma4 birthday, an occasion worth dressing up for.

My family had our dinner in AMK. Many many dishes at a very reasonable price. Not a grand dinner but the warmth is definitely not lacking at all.

After dinner, we gathered at our grandma's place for cake cutting. I observed more smiles on her face this year as compared to the last (is my observation correct?). Perhaps more of us were present this time round? I am not sure, but simply feel happy to see those smiles.

The beautiful cake...

Lovely sight, isn't it?

The lead, most respected woman in the family.

My family... still absent of 8.

The grandchildren in the family... The 4 (gor gor, jie jie, xiuhui and huiying) who fight, had fun and grew up together.

Half way through the photo taking session, firework was up in the air. My cousins started going "where? where?" diao! ... still, a cute sight i would say.

Finally settled down for another photo... us with the added members (Huiying's husband and my Teddy).

There was no movie or bowling session planned after the dinner... hmpf... hoping for one but it's ok.. Teddy lined up a lang4 man4 (as my cousins said) activity for me. =) We headed to Demsy Hill (near botanic garden), and settled for some desserts in Dome. It's a very nice place for chill out and relaxation after work.

Isn't he great? *wink*

A Beautiful Story to Share ( Part II )

Here goes the 2nd half of the story...

I woke up the next morning to find him gone, and saw a piece of paper with his scratchy handwriting underneath a milk glass, on the dining table near the front door, that goes... My dear, "I would not pick that flower for you, but... please allow me to explain the reasons further... This first line was already breaking my heart.

I continued reading.

When you use the computer you always mess up the Software programs, and you cry in front of the screen. I have to save my fingers so that I can help to restore the programs.

You always leave the house keys behind, thus I have to save my legs to rush home to open the door for you.

You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city. I have to save my eyes to show you the way.

You always have the cramps whenever your "good friend" approached every month. I have to save my palms so that I can calm the cramps in your tummy.

You like to stay indoors, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism. I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom.

You always stare at the computer, and that will do nothing good for your eyes. I have to save my eyes so that when we grow old, I can help to clip your nails and help to remove those annoying white hairs. So I can also hold your hand while strolling down the beach, as you enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful sand... and tell you the colour of flowers, just like the colour of the glow on your young face...

Thus, my dear, unless I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than I do... I could not pick that flower yet, and die..."

My tears fell on the letter, and blurred the ink of his handwriting... And as I continue on reading... "Now, that you have finished reading my answer, and if you are satisfied, please open the front door for I am standing outside bringing your favorite bread and fresh milk...

I rushed to pull open the door, and saw an anxious face, clutching tightly with his hands, the milk bottle and loaf of bread... Now I am very sure that no one will ever love me as much as he does, and I have decided to leave the flower alone...

That's LIFE and LOVE. When one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitment fades away, and one tends to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness.

Love shows up in all forms; even in very small and cheeky forms. It has never been a model. It could be the dullest and most boring form...

Flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear in the surface of he relationship. Under all this, the pillar of true love stands... AND THAT'S LIFE.

We had a quarrel the day before I read this story. That was 2 weeks ago if I remembered correctly. This story was enough for me to forgive and forget. I am a Sagittarius, one of the most romantic creatures on earth and therefore yearns for surprises. There are times where i overlooked true love... now i am aware of it.

Irony in My Life

I am a poly and uni graduate in Banking and Finance... but I never love working in the banking environment. I do not know how long i will be trapped. I admire my friends' courage in pursuing their interests by doing a switch in their field of studies. I envy my colleagues who are tai-tais to be. I do not mean that i dun wish to work... but imagine putting a rabbit with many lions. This rabbit will have to disguise and put up a strong front equivalent to that of the lions in order to survive. I bet this rabbit would love to stay in a more harmonious environment.

I see no better alternative than giving in my best effort to strive in this vicious industry. I wun wan to turn into one of those ferocious lions... I only wish to turn into a strong and sucessful rabbit. I truely hope i can so wish me luck.

National Dae Updates

Knowing that i can't bear to leave my stitch in the office, Teddy got me a twin stitch- one to accompany me at hm and the other in office.

Had a nice dessert session at Coffee Club on National Dae. Lazy and sweet. Spot the cute little flag on my cake. =)

Look at my Teddy's HUGE yummilicious mudpie. Belle had a share too... *guilty* getting fat...

Witnessed the casing ceremony... memorable.

Another dae that is worth celebrating... *heart*

Catched "Rush Hour 3"... a must watch. Better than any other comedy. Audiences were clapping, so imagine how good it is.

That's my holdiday. *Enjoyed*
